Article Search

Article Search is critical to many processes in IP-driven companies, from early stage R&D discovery processes by scientists and engineers to post-commercialization safety reviews by pharmacovigilance professionals. We help research support teams and article users alike by integrating search into our Article Galaxy platform.

Discover the key benefits and feature highlights below.

Satisfy users and budgets…with search

Save time for users by integrating document delivery ordering into PubMed and the native interfaces of any of your existing paid discovery tools.  For you or any users that wish to start the discovery process on our Article Galaxy system, you can also activate our federated search solution. This puts millions of records at your fingertips without having to license a federated search solution on your own.

Simultaneously search across multiple targets you know (and love)

Powered by Deep Web Technologies, our federated search component lets you simultaneously conduct simple or advanced searches across leading online databases such as IEEE, PubMed, ScienceDirect, HighWire, SpringerLink, Wiley Online Library, Pubmed Central, Karger, and Annual Reviews.

Our federated search displays real-time results that have been aggregated, ranked, and de-duplicated. Faster sources are displayed first, while slower sources are searched in the background.  You can add in results as they are found, or add them later once you are done browsing the initial set.

Our OpenURL-enabled document delivery order form makes it easier for users to order articles directly from search interfaces when not covered by subscriptions. Users simply click the “Get Article from Reprints Desk” badge on abstracts. When clicked, the hyperlinked badge will take users to the Reprints Desk order form and the order form will be auto-populated with all available citation information.

"For a number of years, my organization and Deep Web Technologies have successfully worked on cutting-edge projects, having a common goal: to accelerate the rate of scientific breakthroughs by making research results easier to find and more accessible. The integration of Deep Web Technologies’ federated search with Reprints Desk’s document delivery service is a significant new step towards advancing this goal.”
